The Benefits of the New Tailwind Create feature

Like I’ve mentioned before, Pinterest is one of the main drivers of my traffic, and I use Tailwind to schedule all of my Pins. There is actually no way in the world that I could still get traffic on my baby blog without the help of Tailwind and Pinterest combind. With Tailwind Create, I can now create, schedule, publish, and analyze my Pins all in one place! You have to admit “easy” is everyone’s new best friend right now. One of my favorite sayings

One of the many things that I love about this new Tailwind Create feature is all of the designs are optimized specifically for Pinterest and customized for my blog. Every image is unique and made just for you. You can generate, personalize, and fine tune Pins to drive traffic to your content. Which is the hardest thing for me to do right now during the pandemic. I absolutely love designing but there is just not enough time in a day to recreate click approving images. But with Tailwind Create everything is easy and at your disposal.

Tailwind Create allows me to streamline my Pinterest workflow for the fastest creation, publishing, and analysis available anywhere. I’ll never waste another minute downloading, organizing, or uploading my Pins! You can literally go from idea to Pin in 30 seconds. I love entering my URL, choosing images, and then immediately seeing hundreds of Pin variations to choose from! I just pick a few to customize then send one or two of my favorites right to my Tailwind drafts for easy scheduling. I know exactly what you’re thinking, easier said than done right? Wrong! Let me show you how user friendly this new Tailwind Create feature is.

How to use Tailwind Create

If you’re anything like me then you are more of a visual person. Which is why I took the liberty of walking you through the steps of using Tailwind Create from the beginning to the end. I created some pins off my most recent blog post; Fall Outfit Ideas to look for During the Pandemic. Let’s get started shall we?

Step One: Setting Up an Account/Signing In

If you have NEVER signed up with Tailwind before Click Here. This will take you to the Welcome screen pictured here. You have some options on this page, you can either sign up for a FREE trial with Instagram or Pinterest. If you are signing up for the first time you will register like you would for any other site.

If you already have an account with Tailwind then you will simply log into your account. The screen will look something like this. Keep in mind Tailwind Create is new to everyone including me and therefore it’s still in the beta stages, so they are still working out some features and kinks.

But because you’re here and you know me you get the early access. 😉 Isn’t it great knowing people in high places?

Step Two: Finding Tailwind Create

You have to have a Pinterest Account to Link in order to get to this page.

Once you have either signed up or logged in for Pinterest you will come to a screen like this. This is your Profile Performance Screen. Basically let’s you know what is working on your Pinterest account and how well everything is performing. When you get to this screen you are going to want to find the paint brush on the left hand side. That is the icon for Tailwind Create.

After you have click the Tailwind Create icon you will come to a page like this. You are now on the Welcome to Tailwind Create page. All you have to do from here is click Start Designing.

Step Three: Agreement Page

You will only have to click on the agreement page the very first time you sign up to Tailwind Create. The next time you sign in you will not see this screen. Once you have read the agreement click I Agree, Let’s Get Started.

This is the loading screen!

This post contains affiliate links, meaning that if you choose to click through and make a purchase, I will receive a small commission at no cost to you. I was also compensated to create this post, though all opinions are my own.

Step Four: Watch the Tutorial/Hit Continue

After you sign the agreement this will be the next page. You have a choice. You can either watch the quick tutorial by clicking the Play button, or you can hit Continue. I chose to hit continue, but after the video, it will bring you to the next page.

Step Five: Set Brand Preferences

On this screen is where the real fun will start. This is where you will start building the foundation on future pins. Brand Text is where your website and/or brand name will populate automatically. Then you will choose you Brand Font. Next is your Brand Colors pick whatever colors your brand logo has. Speaking of logo, that’s next, upload your Brand Logo. You can upload two and resize as needed.

Here is what the finish product will look like. Once everything is filled in click Save Preferences. (Note: You can always go back and change anything you don’t like later. This is just to get you started.)

Step Six: Let’s Get Started

On this page is when everything gets REAL. In this step you will be putting in your blog post url where it says Destination Link. Then you will fill in your Pin Title. Next you will either Upload your own photos for your pin or you will choose from the FREE and/or Premium stock images that are provided by Tailwind Create.

For the sake of showing everything Tailwind Create has to offer I chose to use the stock images provided in this new feature. I want you to notice all the free stock images say FREE in the top right hand corner of each image. While the premium images have a star. This is a good way to see what the paid version can provide you when it comes to stock images.

I decided to choose NINE images but you can choose more or less. But the more images you choose the more options you will have at the end for Pinterest post. Make sure you Click Create Images once you have all the stock images you want or have uploaded from your own gallery.

Now you will see what all your hard but not so hard work has turned into amazing Pinterest Pins. On this page you see tons of different Pinterest post. You will scroll through all the designs until you see one or more that you love. This is also the place where you can edit the post.

You have an Edit button and an Select button at the bottom of every Pinterest Post on this screen. If you see anything about the post you wish to edit simply choose that pin and then select edit. You will be able to change font colors, font sizes, where the wording is placed, you can even add more wording if you like.

After you have made your edits if you have any you love and want to use you will want to Save and Go Back. Or if you love everything that Tailwind Create did in reference to designing your post then you will just hit Select. Once you hit select a check mark will go on that post.

If you decided to change the wording on the next post all the other designs will change EXCEPT the one you already selected with the check mark. All of your selected designs will appear at the bottom left hand side on the website, so you can keep a count on how many designs you have selected. Once you have all the designs you need click Go Schedule.

Step Seven: Publisher/Draft Schedule

You are now in Pinterest Publisher. Specifically in the Draft Schedule section. All the pins you created will automatically populate in drafts. The Pin Title and the Website will be the only thing that will populate over for any pin. You will have to fill in the Board Name, which are the Pinterest boards you have on Pinterest already. (This is where your pin will appear once it has been scheduled. You can pick as many as ten Pinterest boards per pin.)

Like I stated before the Pinterest Title will pre-fill. But you can always change and make each pin title different. Now you want to fill in the Pin Description. I personally do a different description for all my pins even if they are on the same topic

As you can see where I have picked boards for all three pins. I have changed the pin title on all three pins and I also did a different description for all of them as well. Once you have filled in everything you can click Schedule All Drafts.

Once you click Schedule All Drafts you will come the the Scheduled Pins screen. This is where your pins will display the order, the date, and time they will be release to you Pinterest account. If at anytime you want to make a correction you can always put the pin back in drafts and make any corrections or even delete the post altogether. Now guess what? You’re all done!

Quick Update!!

When you log into Tailwind Create you will now see that the designs that you have completed before is below the Start Desiging Icon. You can go back to your old designs and update, add or change any design.

When you go back in will come back to this screen with all your pin images. Pick another image you want to edit and use.

You will come to this editing screen. If you click on the font the Edit Text tools will appear. You can edit the layers if you have any. Font Transparency, Text Style, Color Size, Shadow, Line Height, and Letter Spacing.

If you want to update the edit the image you just click on image and Edit Image tools will appear.

I have updated this post and made all the necessary edits that I deemed approprate. Now all I need to do is click Save and Go Back.

Once you click Save and Go Back you will be on the Design Page. The pin you edited will be pre-selectedand the image will be added to the bottom left hand of the page.

I wanted to point out that once you have scheduled your pins and you come back in to create more images or update some you make already have your Tailwind Create Plan will change. I did three pins before so now my new number is -33/10. Every time you schedule a pin that number will go down.

Of course! 😊 I totally understand. If it wasn’t for this feature I too probably would’ve given it up. I say just check it out & see how you like it. I mean it is free right now 🤷🏾‍♀️

Jen I do agree! But I also stopped using it when I took my blogging hiatus. Since I’ve gotten back to using it, I don’t see AS much traffic from Tailwind but I still love the scheduling & this new Tailwind Create feature. Cuts time in half in redesigning old post!
