Pinterest Blocked My Site! If you’re reading this post then you are currently in the same boat as me. Right now nationwide Pinterest has hit hundreds of accounts.Some accounts as small of a following as 10 to as big of a following in the thousands. Personal and Business accounts all were hit recently and they are advising other pinners that there site is SPAM. In essence that particular site will be blocked or that pinners page suspended. You will know when you get a response like this after clicking on a pinned post.

Let the Freak Out Begin
So in my case my hyperventilation started on August 4th, 2019 when I got an email from Pinterest advising me that my website had been blocked. At first I thought it was one of those email telling you that one of your pins had been removed due to a copyright complaint against one of the pins that was posted from another user. But then I looked harder and realized that, that site was ME! If you are in my shoes are in a very similar situation you may have received a message that looks similar to this one.
If you have received this email from Pinterest give yourself a moment to freak the f*** out! It’s well deserved right? I mean I’ve had my blogging Pinterest account for six months now and I have 504 followers all of which can vouch for my baby blog being far from spam. If you look at my post you can see there is absolutely no reason form Pinterest to have blocked my website. I’ve even been a heavy promoter of Pinterest, you can check my income reports for receipts! But now I am most defiantly upset with this company called Pinterest.
Check Facts
Naturally after I received said email I had to check facts. Did Pinterest REALLY blocked my site? I literally thought this was all a joke until I clicked on one of my recent pins as got this message.
If you thought I was freaking out before I was definitely in my feelings now. I checked my wordpress and I had basically no views. Meaning no one was coming to my site. I legit get 90% of my blog views from Pinterest so my blogs livelihood was in hella jeopardy and I hate when people mess with my money!
Steps to Take to get your site unblocked
- Respond to the Pinterest email IF you received one. (You can do this by simply clicking the link in the email that says Let us know.
- Go onto Pinterest website and APPEAL this action. (Do this DAILY if not TWICE a day)
- Once you get an automated response from Pinterest RESPOND to that with the SAME message you wrote for your appeal. (It should be in that automated email so just copy and paste)
- Go to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and file a compliant.
- If you are in any Facebook Groups Write a post on what your error is. (Sometimes they have quicker answers, which is needed in a time of panic. I didn’t get any answers in my situation BUT I realized I wasn’t alone. Which in a weird way makes you feel a little better.)
- TWEET your a** off if you have a twitter page and have your friends retweet it as many times as possible.
- Try to be patient and keep hope alive.
How to Appeal on Pinterest – Step by Step Desktop Guide
Once you get the auto message reply quickly with the same response you put in your appeal. The auto message will look like this:

Then your done!
The End Results
After you have done this for a few hours possibly days you will eventually get a response from Pinterest and their message will be something like this.
Now in my case it took 4 whole days. My email from Pinterest letting me know I was blocked was August 4th, 2019. I didn’t get this email from Pinterest until August 8th, 2019. So over those days with no response from anyone at Pinterst I legit lost my entire mind while watching my blog number rapidly decline.
If NONE Of This Works!
So I hope this post helped you or at least gave you motivation to keep trying. If you need any help what so ever please let me know! If none of this works for you after a week I would suggest to have all your friends and family, ANYONE who uses Pinterest to go through that appeal process that I showed you. My website bloack for spam and my account suspended. I filed appeals many times but always received canned reply from pinbot. How to reach real person of pinterest?

Hi Emporiaz! I wish there was a way to get a real person but I could not get in touch with anyone when it happened to me. The only advice I have is to be persistent and continue to press them. Eventually they will correct the problem. Let me know if I can help you any further.

Unfortunately, the same thing happened to me, in an arbitrary way they blocked my site with the claim that we spam, but absolutely nothing that is in the pinterest policy we infringed.
The support only responds that it does not unlock because we span, and all of our images are purchased and content written by editors.
I really see today that it is not worth it to keep creating content for a platform that at one time or another blocks you for nothing.
much better works with SEO or paid media than pinterest that tends to the maximum not to let traffic pass to your site.
My profile has 2m of impression per ems, it only generates 10% of traffic, it gets ridiculous.

Wow! That is crazy. When my site was blocked it was a huge system glitch that a lot of others had an issue with. But you definitely have a point.
I really wish there was another platform that we could use to post our amazing content too. I really hope they change their stance and unblock you soon.

This also happened to me once. IT is so scary! I depend a lot on Pinterest for my blog. I also love Pinterest because I have so many boards with things I like and need to keep referring back to. Thankfully it only took a day or two for my account to be reinstated.

Sorry this happened to you but I’m glad you finally got your account back. This has been happening left, right and centre and not even seasoned bloggers are immune to it. It happened to me back in April and it was one of the most frustrating times of my life, especially as a beginner blogger. They reinstated my account eventually but not for 2 weeks. To everyone else who is still blocked, email creators-support@pinterest.com. They don’t work weekends and take about a day or 2 to reply but they’re real people.

This is just yet another piece of proof that Pinterest needs to reign it in and get their stuff in order. They’re trying to do too much at once. Increasing ad revenue at the same time they’re changing the algorithm?

I’m so sorry this happened to you. It’s so unfair when you’ve done nothing wrong and you get blocked. I once reported to a top blogger that her pin led to another site. They reported it to Pinterest and then Pinterest sent a letter of warning to me. I now check every pin before pinning.

Yes! I’m afraid so! I know a lot of people whose accounts were blocked. Some of which are still waiting on a response from Pinterest.
So far the people who did my appeal process have gotten unblocked.

Yes girl! It was devastating! I thought my whole entire Blogging career was over! All my traffic legit comes from Pinterest right now.
But after this scare I definitely will be looking for other avenues to get my views.
