    Both Sides Matter

    When walking into a store and you are being greeted by an associate. What do you naturally do? Are you the customer that speaks back or do you walk in and ignore that you were even spoken to?  Customers point of view: I always personally speak back. Even if it’s quick ‘Hi’ a half a smile, I will always acknowledge being spoken too. Associates point of view: After saying Welcome to xyz for the 100th time of the day we are literally over speaking in general better yet with charisma. It’s not you, it’s just us being tired.     When you are at the checkout and the customer proceeds to place the money on the counter.  From an associate’s point of view, that has to be the most disrespectful thing that you can do. You might as well slap me in the face while your at it. How would YOU like it if I gave you not only your change back on the counter but also your receipt?  Motto here: Do unto others as you would have them do unto YOU. What are your thoughts or takeaways on this matter?
