Deliberately Disrespectful

Have you ever just felt someone watching you? Well you will definitely be able to relate to this week’s Retail Rant on Deliberately Disrespectful. Per usual I give you a dose of retail therapy with a dash of realness. Let a little humor into your life as we laugh at this rant.

Retail Rant time! So before we get into Deliberately Disrespectful. Did you miss me? I mean like REALLY miss me? Or naw? I will have to be honest with you, I haven’t been on it like I should have but it’s with reason.

1. I haven’t been getting hours at my job like that! Which then results to my inspiration to completely flat line. (I know, can you believe it? The nerve!)

The Watcher

With me not working as many hours as I use to my first day back I like to start small, and by small I mean folding tables. It allows me to see where all the new merchandise is and it also allows me time to myself. Well besides the occasional “are you finding everything ok?”. 🤷🏾‍♀️

So I am folding the front table minding my own business making the new sweaters we got in look nice and pretty. When I feel someone looking at me, so I turned around to see this woman standing behind me. (Like breath on your shoulder close 😒). As I turn to greet the customer, another customer comes up to me at that very moment and pulls me away from my table to show them the fitting room.

Ladies and gentleman, if I was gone five whole minutes I was gone long. Do you know the customer that was standing behind me had literally ransacked my entire table? I’m talking all four piles of sweaters torn apart. It literally looked like she picked up each pile of sweaters threw them up in the air and then threw all the like colors together. Oh but wait, there is more! Do you know she THEN had the audacity to ask me for another size sweater?? So let me give you a play by play while I explain listen how petty I can be sometimes! 😈

The Conversation

Customer: Excuse me do you have in a size medium?

Me: A medium in what? 😒🙄

Customer: The green?

Me: (As I call over the walkie) You know those shirts that I JUST folded in the front of the store? Can you check and see if we have a medium in the green?

Associate: On the men’s side or the women’s side?

Me: Women’s

As I stand their and waited for my associate to check the stock room for more sizes I started to fold the green sweaters. Looking back at her periodically. (Legit giving her the back the 🤬 up look) Mind you the customer is so close to me at this point, if I stepped back I would step right on her. Under my breath I’m complaining loud enough to hear.

Me: I don’t understand how you can come in here tear up my entire table then ask for a 🤬 size. We will NEVER have your size ma’am even if we did.

Me: Did you find any?

Associate: Oh my bad I totally forgot to look. Let me check right now. Naw we don’t have any of those sweaters in the back.

Me: (With a smile) Ma’am we don’t have your size.

Customer: Oh, Thank you.

The Rant

Now yo 🤬 literally watched me fold all these 🤬🤬 sweaters and you gon wait till I step away from the table to trash it? Why couldn’t you just ASK me for the size that you were looking for? Instead yo 🤬 wanted to be Deliberately Disrespectful. I think the part that kills me the most is that she waited on me to leave the table to then be a total tyrant.

Moral of the Story: Instead of watching me and then being Deliberately Disrespectful how about you be an adult and ASK for some help like a decent human being.
