Why Do You Need A Blogging Community?
Why do you need a blogging community? Simple, you need people with like minded goals and ambition surrounding you. Although you have friends, and family to support you in any and all endeavors, they really won’t get your trials and tribulations. Your success as well as failures. But do you know who would? A fellow blogger.
To most people from the outside looking in, blogging is easy. Most will say “All you do is sit around at home and write all your thoughts online for people to read”. Trust me if it was that easy EVERYONE would do it.
No one will get how hard it is to start a blog. How much work goes into a single post, how many different obstacles and hoops you have to jump through just to get a measly few views. And when I say a few, I mean a few!
When you first start out it will seem like your post are being viewed by a ghost, and the sad part is, besides the people you tell about your blog, to the world you don’t exist…….YET. So are you ready to embark into the unknown? Are you ready to find your blogging community?
You Are Not Alone
The great thing about blogging communities is you never have to feel alone. Can you imagine being a boss blogger back when no communities existed? I probably would’ve died! Which is why some of these communities are so badass! Because most of the people running these communities have been in the blogging game for a long time. Great people to follow and be apart of their brand.
Find Your Niche
The first step in finding the right blogging community is finding and understanding your niche. For all my newbie bloggers let me explain what a niche is.
Niche blogging is the act of creating a blog with the intent of using it to market to a particular niche market. Niche blogs may appeal to “geographic areas, a specialty industry, ethnic or age groups, or any other particular group of people.”
Here Are A Few Top Niches
- DIY & Crafts
- Food
- Fashion
- Health
- Lifestyle (That’s my Niche 😁)
- Tech & Gaming
- Travel
Many bloggers start their websites for a lot of different reasons. Did any of these niches peak your interest?
Hosting
If you are still looking for a good hosting company I recommend Bluehost. They have THE best customer service and there technology department is great with explaining things to non-techie people like myself. For a beginner I’d say they will be a good option, and at $3.95 a month what more could you ask for? (Ok, ok, I know it could be free) 🤷♀️
Level Up On Your Engagement
Next on the agenda is leveling up on your engagement. How will you find the right community if you’re not engaging with people? No matter how great or awesome your content is, no one will read it unless you give them a reason to. The best way to do that is to make yourself be seen across all social media outlets.
If you have a blog or plan on starting one then make sure you create an account on all social media platforms. You never know what will work for your brand. A lot of my blogging friends said that Pinterest was there main outlet to get consistent views. And although that may be true in the long run, immediate views might come from somewhere else.
I myself got most of my views from Facebook when I first started out. Crazy right? Like I said, you just never know. Add all the platforms you can and then test the waters.
Spam for Spam
Now we move onto the ever changing world of Instagram where there is this thing called spam for spam. Spam for Spam is basically when you like as many pictures of one of your followers as possible and then in return they do the same. Most daily users of Instagram can figure out what you are doing once they see all your likes in their notifications. 9 times out of 10 they will reciprocate the love.
I mean why wouldn’t you want to show the same love back to someone who just liked the hell out of your profile? 🤔 This is one way to get your engagement up. Trust me people notice you more when you send an abundance of genuine love there way.
Different platforms may call for different antics but regardless of how it gets done, showing love to a fellow follower never hurt anyone. The more you like and comment on people’s post the more people will recognize your work and want to spread the love to other followers.
Follow Me
If you’re just getting started on this whole engagement piece and need help leveling up I will definitely assist you with getting started. Follow me on any of my social media platforms and just let me know your ready to level up.
Bloggers Understand
When you first start your blog you have sooo many questions about E-V-E-R–Y-T-H-I-N-G! Are you using the right font? Do you have all the right plug-ins? Is your SEO good? What about the format of your blog? OMG…branding colors? What colors are in and what colors are out? 😂🤣😂🤣 And that’s just a few from the top of my head.
Well when you are in the right blogging community you will be around other bloggers who not only understand but are willing to help answers all those crazy questions. I don’t know about you, but if I would’ve known that there was a blogging community full of successful bloggers, I would’ve joined a long time ago. Well before I started my journey as a blogger.
Not only will the blogging community understand your struggles but they will know how to fix your problems. The blogging community is here to help you succeed. In the end we all have the same goal. I mean really? Who wouldn’t want to join??? 😏
Where to Find These Communities
This is probably THE most important part of the whole post right?? Well I will give you a little insight on some of the communities I’m in that you might want to be a part of as well.
The Secret Tribe
First up is The Secret Tribe which happens to be an up and coming community filled with a little bit of everything, and I mean everything! The group has every blogging niche imaginable from, influencers, INFJ’s, coaches, brand ambassadors, small businesses, health & wellness coaches, interior design and home services and so much more. This tribe has some amazing knowledgeable people and they are so nice.
The group is organized by Morgan who is amazing! If you read my last blog post on How I Made $42 My Second Month Blogging you will read about me ranting and raving about this woman!
In this group you can post almost anything from any social media platform. You name it and it’s on there, and if it isn’t Morgan will fix that. Imagine everything you need housed in one platform!

Tailwind is the smartest way to manage your presence across the visual web (Pinterest & Instagram), and offers a complete suite of marketing tools including Smart Scheduling, Analytics & Monitoring, Content Discovery, Promotion, Education, Tribes, Hashtag Suggestions and more.

Most of the Facebook groups will make you answer a few questions before you can join. Don’t worry they are simple questions and totally worth it.
There are waaaaayyy more groups that I’m involved in but so I decided to list just a few. I’m thinking about creating a freebie with all the groups I’m in and others you can join. Sound appealing? 🤔
Success Takes Time
Now that I have blessed you with all these tips, tribes and groups I want you to keep in mind that success takes time. Rome literally was not built in a day. Neither was my blog! But that’s a whole other story 🤦♀️😂
Stay determined and stay motivated. Trust me when I tell you these blogging communities will help your blog out tremendously. Every single person that I have met in these tribes and groups have been nothing but sweet and supportive. My engagement across the board have been going up every single day.
Social Media Graphic Designer
Not only have these communities helped out my engagement on all my social media platforms, but it has also helped out my business. There is no way I would’ve met so many unbelievably amazing customers without joining these communities. Sales are up and everyone is happy. If you haven’t already check out my Designer for Hire page click the link below.
Friends Are Forever
I just want to remind you that choosing the right blogging community is essential to being successful in the very beginning of your blogging journey. You will never feel like you’re alone in your new quest for success, and when you have questions you won’t have to feel like you have to figure it out on your own. (Like I did🤦♀️🙄) You will build friendships that will last forever.
If you would’ve told me that my blogging mentor would end up being one of my good friends I would’ve laughed at you. I have my moments when I want to be a people person, and it’s hard finding genuine people online. Everyone has a motive these days. But my friend Morgan is as good as it gets. My blog would be pitiful if it wasn’t for her tips and tricks.
Now don’t get me wrong my blog still has a long way to go but it’s on the right track. And if it’s not, my good friends in my blogging communities will definitely let me know! If you’re asking for help you better be able to take the criticism.
You Will Be Fine With Time
Trust me when you start signing up for these different communities you will get very overwhelmed. I know I did, well I got too excited and join a million different tribes and groups. 🤫 Big mistake, because every group has there own very calculated system of rules, and every groups rules are VERY different.
Some communities will stress you out because you want to make sure that you are abiding by all the rules correctly. Keep in mind of what you can and can not handle, don’t put too much on your plate that these communities become WORK verses being a fun learning experience where you can engage and meet friends.
Before You Go…
I hope this post was helpful and got you motivated to either start your new blog or level up on engagement by finding the right blogging community for your nicne. Either way if I helped you or inspired you to join any of these communities I mentioned then I did my job!
Remember I’m always here to help in any way that I can. If you’re still unsure about joining a blogging community just look at it this way….You have more to lose by not joining and everything to gain. 🤷♂️🤷♀️
OH!
Don’t forget to Join my tribe Bosses on a Mission, and share this post with all your friends who are looking for a blogging community! Remember sharing is caring! Thank you all for your continued support!

Girl…. this post is EVERYTHING! Thank you for all of your kind words and love. I woulda quit blogging a WHILE ago if it wasn’t for your friendship!
Also, thanks for sharing this and compiling all of this info for us. Being a new blogger SUCKKKKKS. You feel so alone and confused. Plus, there isn’t much info out there about what you’re supposed to do…. people on Pinterest over-simplify it with their spammy click-bait graphics. “Triple your traffic in a week’… but they never explain how to grow your blog. They just try to sell you a product!
This is so thorough and thoughtful. I love it! Great post, Vee! Keep it up!

This is very true about the click-bait…& yet they get us every time! I really appreciate the encouragement! You are THE best! 🤗😘
