If you have been keeping up with me and my house journey, then you may remember when I told you that I would actually be working on making my new house feel more like a home. Well, ya girl is so motivated to accomplish this goal this year. I actually started some VERY late spring cleaning during the Fourth of July break (don’t you judge me 😏😂) and it has really motivated me to whip my house into shape.

My House Currently…

Besides the living room which is currently under construction (ie. It still needs a lot of work). My second domain and my other favorite part of my house is my master bedroom. I legit spend most of my time in my room right now until my living room furniture comes in. So naturally, when I did my spring cleaning I was thinking of ways to make my room look and feel new.

Well considering I wasn’t moving any furniture around in my bedroom, the first thing that came to mind was bedding! I absolutely am a fan of bed in the bags, comforter sets, quilt set, you name it, I am here for it all! And what goes good with new bedding? Pillows! So yes, that is the first stop on our tour of decor to rave about! ✨🎊🎉✨

Bedding

I am currently in the process of getting my master to look more like me! I’m talking painting, new bedding, wall decor, night stands, decorative rugs, the whole nine. So please believe that while I’m trying to inspire you I’m also getting some ideas for myself! Look at these goodies I found and believe it or not, they’re not bad prices. 👀👀

Pillows

So let’s say you decide that you have enough bedding and don’t need anything new. Well all you have to do to refresh the bedding you already have is add pops of NEW color. The best way to do that is to find some amazing decorative pillows that draw you in. I picked out some that spoke to me while shopping. (P.S. If you didn’t already know, pillows are hella expensive! So watch your debit card when swiping) 💲🤑💲

Lamps

Shine bright like a diamond, or in this case a lamp. I’m sure a lot of people neglect to see lamps as decor, they might even forget that they can bring so much style to a room, if placed in the right setting with the right accents. People let me inform you, LAMPS are in! Bring life to your dull room by buying yourself some lighting now. I did some of the heavy lifting for you already.

Leg Benches

I betcha didn’t think about buying a new leg bench for your bedroom, now did you? I’ve been looking for a bench ever since I bought my bed two years ago, and guess what?! I found one, and I will buy it soon, I just have a few hundred other things that I have to buy on my list first, like my living room furniture that I mentioned earlier. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Curtains

I’m not even going to lie, I’ve lived in numerous places since college and I have NEVER invested in curtains!!! I guess you’re not truly an adult until you have them. Hell I didn’t even want to buy blinds when I moved in my house because they were so d*** expensive! So needless to say, two years later and I still only have blinds up! 🙄 But in effort to become a REAL adult I will be investing in some for my entire house. (ie. 7 windows, take me now). 😫

Wall Decor

One of the funnest things about revamping a space is the wall decor. I think I like shopping for these items the most because it’s so versatile. There is not a wrong way to decorate when it comes to decor. Your style is legit just that, YOUR STYLE. You can be as bold or as subtle as you want when it comes to decorating your walls. (Fun fact: Wallpaper is a fun way to give your space a nice 💥big pop💥 Try it out….if you dare 😈.)

Accent Chairs

Accent chairs, how I adore thee. I legit bought a house with a big master just so I could be able to put an accent chair in my bedroom. So naturally this is another item on my list to buy. Ottoman’s

Raise your hand if you thought about buying an ottoman when you decided to revamp your space?? Yeah, I thought not! Although ottoman’s may not have been on your radar they should be. Especially if you don’t plan on updating your bedding. This is a great way to update your master bedroom. Now I’m not saying this is the cheapest route to go but it is one of the stylish😏.

Storage Cabinets

Who doesn’t love more storage? I know I do! matter of fact the more storage in a space the better. And what better place to have more storage then in your bedroom? Check out these cute storage ideas that will work great in your bedroom. Heck you could even use them as night stand’s if you really wanted to! Just a suggestion 💁🏾‍♀️.

Full Length Floor Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the finest of them all? 😁😂 I love me a good mirror because I definitely love to look at myself. So needless to say this is THE best stylish accessory I can buy. Please know that I already have a nice one too! Bought it before I even closed on my house. Don’t judge!

Rave On With These Billion Dollar Purchases

So hypothetically speaking, let’s say I hit the lottery, there are a few hundred things I would think about buying, and these would top that list. I mean there is absolutely no way I could fathom buying any of these items on my current salary! But if you are special enough to make some commas (ie. 1,000,000) instead of decimals (ie. 100.00) then please indulge in the finer things in life, and buy TWO, one for me and one for you! 😂🤷🏾‍♀️
