Pay Attention and Respect My Space

Now I’ve never REALLY noticed this until one of my coworkers pointed this out. (So I want to give a special thanks to Glen) Now that I’ve noticed it, it really irks my nerves!  In our store we have the line set up so you have only one way in and one way out.

So when it’s really busy and your standing in line I need you to 1. Pay attention! And 2. Wait your turn. Especially on a Saturday, we need you to pay attention to the flow of the line. We understand that conversation you’re having is amazing BUT we really don’t care to yell. So save us the hassle and just pay attention and go with the flow.

At the same time, some of us REALLY don’t like it when yall just walk up to the register and just stand there. It would be nice of you to wait on us to call you over, but hey it’s your world right?? Half the time we are trying to escape from ringing you and anyone else up, so our goal is to just walk away. The other times we’re simply trying to get our money together in the register and you just standing there looking will not speed that process up. (You actually just slowed it all the way down!)

Which reminds me of something else I absolutely HATE! Please respect my space. If I’m ringing you up PLEASE do NOT lean over the register to check a price or better yet see what I’m doing. I’m gonna need you to to step ALL the way back. Please and Thank you!

Like I literally want to palm your face with my hand and give you the mush of your life! Like really who does that? I could see if you didn’t have a screen of your own to look at. But noooo, you do, and yet you’re still across my counter. (WHY THO?)
